The ForestWood 2014 Conference was entitled "Green Green Growth of Home”. It was held on Wednesday 19 March 2014 at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa in Wellington.

2014 was Election Year and ForestWood 2014 presented a unique opportunity to hear the views of the main political parties on how they expect to influence New Zealand’s forest growing and wood processing/ manufacturing business in pursuit of increased economic growth.

Politicians, industry leaders and political analysts elaborated on what they plan to do to make New Zealand forest and wood industry more successful in a highly competitive International marketplace. World demand for wood fibre is expanding. How the sector responds to this demand will be shaped to a large extent by government policies. ForestWood 2014 sought to find out if the future government had the right agenda when it comes to forest and wood industry growth.

At the final session of ForestWood leading industry thinkers presented their views on international and domestic market opportunities.

The conference handbook is available for download.
