| The conference was a reflection of the increasing co-ordination across the sector and drew together senior members of the processing and forestry growing sectors. ForestWood 2010 was held on 12 October 2010 at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa in Wellington
The conference programme included how we as an industry, government and community can enable forestry to prosper and included:
- Maximising the Value through the Value Chain – Opportunities for sector improvement through consideration of:
- Energy and Bioenergy
- Research and Development
- Infrastructure (transportation, port and rail restrictions)
- Forestry’s Relationship with the Community – What can the sector provide to the community?
- What is the role of government?
- How can New Zealand help forestry prosper?
